Monday Night the Takoma Park, MD City Council UNANIMOUSLY passed a resolution calling on Congress to impeach Bush and Cheney.

I called Van Hollen’s office this morning to let them know that the resolution passed last night. The staffer hadn’t heard the news but was interested and impressed, especially when I said it had passed unanimously. I asked for the Congressman to respond by getting on board with H. Res. 333 calling for the impeachment of Cheney and also to sponsor impeachment against Bush. The staffer took my name, asked if I was an officer of the city council (“No! I’m just a citizen!”), and said he would pass it on to Rep. Van Hollen.
